Nicole and Astley

"Seko was absolutely wonderful. We would recommend him one thousand times over! Seko was wonderful at assisting us in our wedding. We had no idea how much we did not know when it came to the reception planning and he was such a big help right down finding us a ring bearers pillow 10 minutes before the ceremony because I forgot to get one." -

Welcome to Jam-Rock !
Nicole and Astley shared a love for each other, shared a love for family, and shared a Jamaican heritage allowing me to get my "Yankee-Boy gone wicked pon tha' jam" swagger on ! Their friends and family came from far and farther to celebrate this couples love on Valentines day 2009. Friends from Iraq, Jamaica, New York, New Jersey, and Panama tried their best to out-party the few-but-funky Virginians in the room.
Our services began with providing sound and music for the ceremony. Nicole and Astley decided upon a warm splash of romantic jazz to set the mood for their nuptials. Astley walked in the room as we played Kem's "I Can't stop Loving You." The wedding party entered the room to an extended version of Musiq Soulchild's performance of "Love". After a short moment of silence in recognition of Astley's and Nicole's mothers whose presence was felt as if they were smiling ear-to-ear from heaven, Nicole and here Papa graced into the room as Patti (LaBelle) bellowed out "I Love you, I Love you." from her classic tear-jerker "Want and need you baby". Never mind the song.......... Nicole brought tears to every one's eyes.
The officiant, the bride, and the groom were all heard as we mic'ed the ceremony ensuring that the 80+ guests would hear the vows. The couple recessed to Kirk Frankiln's "Declaration" declaring the couple one.
The reception showcased the couples Island heritage as I played Smooth-yet-Jazzy Caribbean tunes and upbeat Jazzy R&B tunes while the guests snacked on gourmet Beef Patties and other Island favorites. The couple's extended first dance began with Luther Vandross' captivating voice and ended with all of the married guests encircling the couple with their love and a "Happy Valentine's Day" kiss ! Smooches Yall !!!
The party was one and the guests ate, danced, and sang-along with the mix of Caribbean, Old-School, R&B, Classic Soul, and a brief splash of Hip-Hop tunes. The event was due to end at 9:00 PM.........Right............We came to party and celebrate what the Almighty has brought together. Bless Up & Respect to the couple.
Love yall'.

Dache's Super 16th

02/23/2009
"Good Evening Seko,

On behalf of the Tolbert family, we would like to thank you for helping us give our son the best birthday party ever. It was the talk of town. Everyone enjoyed themselves and most of all the birthday boy. We wanted to personally thank you but you had already left. We thought you were going to come back in after you loaded up your equipment. Everything was beautiful from the lights to the music not that I expected anything else. Keep up the good work and we will definitely use your services again. You may use me as a reference if you ever need one.
Thank You So Much,
Tann & Kenn Tolbert"

"I'm still receiving phone calls of how EVERYONE young, middle and young at heart enjoyed DJ Seko. Family member's that weren't going to come to the wedding came at the last minute and are still talking about how AWESOME you were. Yet, again you went beyond my expectations. I thank God for you and look forward to using your services again." - Minister L. Rivers

Four years ago Jalessa was having her Sweet 16 party. D.J. Danny Rodriguez (former superstar Jock of Positive Vibes DJs) was scheduled to be her D.J. until he had a family event that demanded his immediate attention. I was the back-up staff on that day so I ended up performing at her event. We had an absolute ball ! Jalessa's mother, Minister Rivers, was a bit skeptical at first since Danny had developed such a strong reputation for fun events. She walked away a fan that night telling me "When we get this girl married we will give you a call." We have been in contact a few times since then as Minister Rivers has referred our services to a number of people. Then a few months ago Minister Rivers called our office and said "Guess who is getting married ?"

We met at her job, signed the contract and then began exchanging the necessary information. David's family was of Jamaican descent......"Do you have some good Caribbean tunes ?"...No problems, no worries !

The guests included the couples young friends, the parent's older friends and family, and the parent's conservative church family. After it was all said and done, we all danced, we all partied, and we all prayed and wished for the very best for the young couple !

Jalessa was a beautiful bride ! David is a lucky dude. I feel honored to be a part of their extended family. May the years find you more committed, more settled, and more in love.
